The Young lady who checked us in, had no knowledge of anything, She couldn't tell you what time the tubes needed to be back, what time you should go in last. Couldn't sell the beer because she's too young. Thye nickel and dime you on everything but don't use the money to clean the bathrooms or shower house. The shower... More

Apple River is an adult weekend get away light camping and heavy partying. Do not bring kids here on the weekend, there is too many adult displays that are simply not appropriate. That being said, Apple river is really fun, enjoy meeting new people dancing at the bar on the camp grounds, and drinking with friends. it has all the... More

Rented a site for 2 people for their "Beer Olympics! and Float The river!" event that I stumbled upon on Facebook. As it was advertised it was $40 to camp for two people, Friday and Saturday night, Tube the river both days, and free admission to the Beer Olympics (bag toss, beer pong, flip cup), and the DJ's they had... The owner is one of the biggest jerk I've ever met, along with his staff/family. He is so used to dealing with college kids, he doesn't know how to treat adults with respect. There is a deposit for every single thing, they charge per person per vehicle. If you are over the age of 35 do not camp here, they... More

I wish I would have read these reviews before I bought a Groupon; they are right! Horrible customer service and yes, the company only wants your money. No help loading the tubes into the 'blackout creepy van," one person was working the $/tubes so couldn't give us our tubes right away, no personality for anyone that works there. Overly disappointed.... More

I'm sure they meant well, but this place is just filthy, poorly managed. bring disinfectant for the bathrooms. poor crowd control, litter everywhere. Tiny small town venue trying to be a big attraction. All that could go wrong with that, has.

A group of 6 of us said here Aug. 15-17th, 2014. This was our second year staying here and both years we camped on sites HR54 & 55, right on the river. Great sites that are a short walk to the restrooms and easy access to the river with a small bank. The good: Water was up this yr on... More

We rented during the week and they told us they close at 8pm and we were done tubing @ 6:45pm and no bus was there to pick us up and take us back to our car. When a passerby stopped by he called the hideway to tell them that we were waiting 45 minutes for a bus while we watched... More

Writing this review on here because they monitor their facebook and only let the good ones on it... The worst experience i've ever had! I've been going to the Apple River for a long time and this was my first at this place. The campground is run down, you think you get a good deal but they nickel and dime... More
