Don't forget to check out all of the bathrooms - they are truly amazing. The museum was very spacious and had a wide variety of interesting items. Check out the section that was the original Kohler house. Wish they would have kept the home in the original state but you can still see some of the details. Also take the... More

For a free museum with rotating exhibits, this is really excellent. We hit exhibits on road trips in Wisconsin which was great fun. There were also some on supernatural and nature some of which we found a bit creepy (art constructed of large insects) but there was lots of variety. Words will not describe the bathrooms. It is the KOHLER... More

When my wife and I visited, in late May, there was an exhibition of Wisconsin artists. I am unsure how many of the pieces are permanently displayed. Since most all of the art on display was by Wisconsin artists, I don't know if they have any pieces by more well-known artists in storage. The art showcased mainly consisted of a... More

Well worth a trip to the Arts center. We highly recommend. I'd say allow about 90-120 minutes but feel free to take your time.

2nd time I have been there...this is an art gallery/center that can compete with the best in the country. Considering it is in a small town is more amazing. Supported by the Kohler family it is as good as it gets. Beautiful building with great staff. Nice gift shop. They even have a class room for visitor's children with tons... More

Such a beautiful building and absolutely beautiful exhibits. It was laid out very well. Current exhibits include a science theme, 1930s portraits, preschoolers art, self portraits, and "living rooms" in the rooms of the historic house. Free (suggested donation $6 adults, $2 kids).

Cutting-edge traveling exhibits, a permanent folk art collection that is second to none, and (naturally) ceramic art. Often witty. Dependably wonderful local art. An excellent gift shop. And performances! A cultural gem.

The exhibits here are unique and perhaps not for everyone. They are eclectic and fairly contemporary. I'd recommend going to their website to find out if its right for you. They do have the offerings. I've been to several performances and each one was well worth the price of the ticket and the time. They also offer classes and special... More

We enjoyed touring the open exhibit areas AND BATHROOMS in this museum as well as the gift shop. There seemed to be several large unoccupied open areas in the building at the time, perhaps they were in between exhibits? We LOVED seeing the bathrooms and walking through the reconstructed rooms of the Kohler home. There is also an outdoor garden... More
