This 100% paved trail is in very good shape. It's mostly off-road and those parts on road are on roads with very little traffic. It's mostly flat except for the Sayner to Boulder Junction section. There is lots of shade as you ride through the...More

Tell your friends, pack up you bikes and head to the St. Germaine and Boulder Junction area in northern Wisconsin. The Heart of Vilas County bike trail system is the best. Over 50 miles of paved trails to explore - between to small towns of...More

If you bike from 51 to Sayner you have to stop at the Corner Store. Nicest people in WI and so helpful. Can fix you bike, supply bandaids ( don't ask), rent bikes and have lots of snack and food supplies for biking and camping....More

Our bike group rides many trails in both MN and WI. These are the best! Beautiful, well maintained, easy and to ride from town to town...which are also lovely places to visit.

We stayed at Cedaroma and found that the "on ramp" was right outside the entrance. We took our bikes to town serveral times...(once for the flea market and for lunch/ice cream). The paths are paved and cut thru beautiful fields and woods.

Yes we stay at the Cederoma Lodge right on the trails but I do not think you could wrong with any of the lodges or hotels in St. Germain as the trails run right by and around all of them.
