I will start by saying that, being a casual Frank Lloyd Wright aficionado, I have learned to expect tales of leaky roofs. Wingspread did not disappoint. This building is lovely and contains nice examples of the “compression and release” effect that Mr. Wright created in...More

Beautiful and interesting, but the entire place smells like mold and mildew. Beware if you have any respiratory issues.

Why should you care about Frank Lloyd Wright, and the work he did? Well, better people than me continue to proclaim him "America's greatest architect" 150 years after his birth in small-town Wisconsin. And for me, there are few experiences more rewarding than spending time...More

You need to make a reservation but the tour is free. The building is only partly accessible to you, two of the four wings are closed, and the interior layout has been somewhat chopped up due to its time as a conference center. That said,...More

Make a reservation. We were about 6-8 minutes late but a lady was waiting for us in the parking lot, expecting us. Unbelievable. She quickly ushered us in to catch up with the tour. 10-15 minute talk. 15 minute video has lots of humor. Then...More

The tour was free. We combined the J-Wax tour. The movie and wingspread. There was a lot of wonderful information. The house was amazing. A must do in the Racine area. And it's Free!

Been to a few Wright houses and felt this one wasn’t worth the visit. Only two of the wings are open to the public. Did the SC Johnson tour the same day which my husband and I both enjoyed.

This home built for the third generation Johnson of Johnson Wax Company is one of the most livable FLW homes I have visited. The self-guided tour of the home, after a brief introduction, was a great way to see the living spaces for the family.

Do make a reservation online or you will not be allowed in. The tour of this home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright is pretty interesting and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. The video sharing Karen and Sam’s recollections of the house was very touching...More

Headquarters. Currently renovations at the house, so you can't see the enormous swimming pool.
