Stopped without knowing what this was and we had a blast! The woman working was very nice and answered all our questions. Easy to walk around and fun to poke your head in the different buildings. A great place to spend some time.

This museum stands out because even though it's not one of the official 11 Wisconsin Historic Sites, it operates like one, and open pretty much every day from mid-May through mid-October (historic sites actually have days when they are closed). And it's not one-two room...More

Cute village to help give you a quick history lesson of New Glarus. Definitely worth a stop and get the know the town a little bit more.

This heritage museum keeps the story of the first settlers of New Glarus alive and interesting. For $9, either you can tour the 14 buildings and artifacts on site on your own following a pamphlet or you can have a guide show you the buildings...More

We decided to stop to view this village on our trip to New Glarus brewery. For $9 the tour was well worth the time as a local retiree guided us through the village history of how the Swiss emigrated to the area in the 1840's....More
