I walked the Hank Aaron State Trail at least once a night, well--part of it. After I left Chicago, I made myself walk to remain to get exercise. Parts of it are pretty, but it can get very dark and sketchy in the shaded areas....More

We started downtown and joined trail at Canal Street. After a mile or two we had to stop and consult city bike map many times. As you get to the ballpark the trail disintegrates into broken sidewalk and even worse signage. We gave up and...More

Beautiful, wide trail running east and west, paved and suitable for anyone on wheels or foot traffic. Signs of interest guide you through history, and nature highlights, as well as great destinations such as Miller Park and Milwaukee Art Museum.

We've taken this trail several times for biking. Good distance and very interesting. Paved and safe a big part is not on the road.

I love this trail and am usually found in the area of the National Woods Cemetary, simply because I am in love with the atmosphere around the Old Vets Home. They are restoring the Home for Homeless Vets and I find it interesting to watch...More

It may be great for bicycling, but large parts of it are through the old industrial area of the city and we did not find it very inviting as walkers.

The Hank Aaron trail will have you forget your in the middle of the city. You can take the trail to bike to a lot of places. Miller Park, The Domes, the lake ETC... Wild flower gardens and comunity vegtable gardens along the trail. Several...More

If you'd like to do a nice portion of this bike trail, you can park near the Harley museum, catch the trail across the street & bike to Miller Park. Stop and read the informational signs on the way.
