The Oriental Theater is one of our favorite places to go to for a movie. Built in the early 20th century, the Oriental is filled with decorative features, such as elephants and oriental designs, that you will not find anywhere else. The theater does need...More

I was concerned when our beloved historical theater was recently sold but elated to learn that the Milwaukee Film Festival are the new caretakers. This group is dedicated to preservation as well as maintaining the eclectic audience drawn to the features there. There is a...More

Very much enjoy coming to this particularly unique cinema. I’d recommend a matinee or just before a run ends, though, as even places like this aren’t immune to obnoxious people ruining the experience for everyone.

This is a lovely old historic theater on the east side of Milwaukee. It is well worth the time to take in a movie here; maybe even Rocky Horror Picture show!! I go here regularly and enjoy it every time.
