I was there for a Veteran Hiring Event. The place was crowded with employers and Veterans but I could see a lot of displays and other items honoring our Veterans. I will go back to see the rest.

The War Memorial Center is truly beautiful and unique. The building is located on Milwaukee's lakefront and has this incredible view. But the architecture is amazing. It reminds me of the 60's. The art displayed is so worth the visit.

Eternal flame, floor with war dates, locations and reminders for all to contemplate. Outside the huge water-saving gardens invite thoughtfulness as do numerous benches from which Lake Michigan is seen. It is free!

This is an amazing place from two stand points: historical and architectural. It is one of Aaron Saarinen's master pieces (he was also the designer of the Gateway Arch in Saint Louis, MO). Highly recommend this place for anyone that visits the city. The building...More

The War Memorial is undergoing a ton of updates to improve their center. From external to internal, the updates just keep coming. If you haven't been in awhile, stop in! It's worth the drive. The lot is reasonably priced as well-just know that you have...More
