Old world has its charm and is coming back since the recession. The Spice House is in this area and you can get every spice you need at reasonable prices. The smells waft out into the street. Using ears meats are in this area with the BEST and least expensive Canadian bacon as well as Milwaukee's famous Brats which are... More

Lots of dinner places including Brick 3 Pizza, our new favorite pizza in Milwaukee! This is also right next to the Riverwalk.

This is a historic stretch of remaining old buildings in the German quarter. A walking tour of the city can tell you a lot about the history of each of the buildings. Many are now bars and restaurants. If you are looking for beer and German food in Milwaukee, this is where you want to be.

Old World 3rd street consists of many old buildings. Some were built in the 1800's and early 1900's. Many German people occupied this area of the city. Whenever we visit Milwaukee, we always try to get down there. Usingers sausage company is there and we always stop in. As you walk along 3rd street, you'll see many little pubs and... More

My wife and I spent a few hours walking the area while on vacation. We enjoyed the historic buildings and the sights and smells along the way. Walking by the Spicehouse was an awesome olfactory experience! Very beautiful and interesting area and well worth spending some time there. There is also a variety of restaurants that should please any taste.

We almost always come here when visiting Milwaukee, often dining at Maders for lunch (surprinsingly reasonable), and then a trip to the Usinger's shop (clearance section offers great deals) and Spice House (the best place for high quaiity spices and herbs.

A few small shops to look at, but mostly restaurants. That being said, there are great places to eat. From local beers, brats and pretzels to NY style pizza, Famous cheese curds or fine dining. Loved our walk around here.
