Trail along the lake

Runs the whole length of town, paved and in good shape. Runs from one end to the other lots of off on spots and parking.

The Oak Leaf trail is a wonderful place to run, bike and walk. The trail takes you through several areas and is a safe way to see Milwaukee and its surrounding suburbs and parks. The 100+ mile trail is paved which makes it for easy travel. Great scenery along the way!

You can start your trip at the Milwaukee Art Museum and ride ALMOST to Sheboygan. The entire route is paved with a few off path diversions through city streets in Cedarburg, Grafton and Port Washington. A GREAT way to see South Eastern Wisconsin.

Great trail for walking with or without your dog. Well paved and wonderful foliage, especially in Autumn. My husband and I have walked this trail in all seasons!

The largest Rails to Trails course in Southeast Wisconsin. Great hiking and biking trail that surrounds the city of Milwaukee. It travels along the shore of Lake Michigan and travels through most of the park system of the city.

This multi-use trail follows the Milwaukee River and connects up and down with more trails for a seamless ride/walk as long and far as you would want to go. It is well maintained by the efficient Milwaukee public works, plowed in the winter, garbage cans along the route. It goes past the Urban Ecology Center and east up to the... More

We came upon this trail as part of the Brown Deer Park System which includes a golf course, picnic sites, kids pavilion, softball, disc golf, dog walking and more. Ample parking.

Every city should have an Oak Leaf Trail. You do have to use some city streets and sidewalks, but most is off road. The Lakefront sections are fantastic. Turned my five mile run into a ten miler just to enjoy the trail.

Rode this trail from Hotel Phister downtown to South. Although one has to use City streets to get to Lakefront , bike lanes are generally available. Once on actual trail , condition is mostly very good with many scenic views. Went to Grant Park and returned, taking in a little extension by going by Art Museum and Veterans Park. A... More

This is basically a flat and straight trail that cuts through Milwaukee. My daughter lives in Shorewood, a few blocks from the trail segment that cuts through Estabrook park, so it's convent. We usually walk a little of the trail but will have to bring our bikes to try more of it.
