Having spent 3 nights in Big Bay State Park, we arrived at Copper Falls State Park. After driving around and checking out campsites, we picked campsite number 33, in the northern loop. Although it was located near a park road and close to two other...More

Beautiful walk, nice trails. Walked to observation tower, didn't climb- wonderful views from trail there. Proceeded to the trail to the falls, the roaring sound, scenery was breath taking. Easy walking. First time here, looking forward to returning.

We visited this park many years ago. I was not able to put the correct year from the menu. Guessing around early 2000s. A bad storm had taken down a section of trees along a trail but it did not get in the way of...More

I haven't been to Bayfield and only visited Ashland for a part of a day a few years ago. I can't recommend any hotels, but if you are into sightseeing there are lots of things to see in the area.

There are backpacking sites for camping separate from the two campgrounds. There are also a few walk in sites from one of the campgrounds. Just talked with someone who had been fishing. He caught some trout on the river.
