The only interesting animals that we saw were the cougar, and the black bear. It’s a small zoo. It kept my two nieces under the age of three entertained.

Little zoo, kids liked it, it was free so nice enough for that, saw some different types of animals not normally seen, short and sweet!

A great concept - FREE zoo without crowds. The visit would take about an 1-2 hours with small children, but less with older. But at the cost, it is worth a walk around.

So... my Chicago born and raised kids have been to the fabulous big city zoos several times. Although impressive, they leave me feeling exhausted, broke, and well....annoyed . I am also a little unsure if the animals are too happy. This beautiful little zoo is...More

This is a lovely little find for young families. It's a small zoo with about 2 dozen exhibits, but it's free, it's laid out in an easy-to-navigate way, and there's ample shade and seating areas. The animals are midwestern species, their habitats are well cared-for....More

The zoo has a wonderful amount of animals for the family to enjoy. Also do not forget to stop by the Trout rearing pond to see if they are raising any fish for Lake Michigan. The zoo was a project of the Manitowoc County Fish...More

We visited on Monday, May 22, 2017... There were literally 8 animals here... 3 of them were birds, there were turtles, 2 goats, buffalo, a wolf, and a prairie dog... We thought there was a squirrel, but it became apparent that the squirrel had just...More

Yes for now, but city council is making a rule change very soon. Dogs must be on a leash at all times. Great park and zoo to visit.
