This is a beautiful series of buildings, not really very old (by British standards) but remarkable workmanship. But sure to note the hours when the Sisters will give a tour - 1-3 PM. However we arrived early and they let us come into a common room and sit and wait in the warm. An interesting fact is that the sisters... More

An exquisite example of old-world craftsmanship that showcases handcarved and painted art objects and a lovely chapel that is one of a kind in the Midwest. The sisters for some 139 years have faithfully prayed 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 12 monbths a year. Visitors are allowed to sit in silence in the prayer room to feel... More

The Mary of the Angels Chapel and the Chapel of Perpetual Adoration are simply stunningly beautiful...actually breathtaking. Take the time to visit and enjoy the tour given by one of the lovely sisters. Tours are available Monday through Saturday 9 to 10:45am and 1 to 3pm.

This chapel is part of the convent so access is limited, but worth a stop. A sister provides a tour of the main chapel and the chapel of perpetual adoration. Along the way she provided much information about the founding of the convent, their order and the building of the chapels. The chapels are beautiful examples of the work of... More

We had read about this in Post-Bulletin long time ago and decided to google it up. The tour with history was interesting and the Mary of the Angels and Perpetual Adoration Chapels are absolutely beautiful. Most amazing is that prayers have been going on here continuously since 1878.

this convent is very interesting, the building has a lot of history, there is a tour, free, just for a donation. Outside gardens are beautiful, and there is more to walk around. Must visit !

This is one of the most beautiful chapels outside of Rome. Everything about it was breathless. Also our Sister who gave the tour was just wonderful. A must to see for everyone.

This is a beautiful place right in La Crosse. We were buzzed through the front door and greeted by the receptionist who offered us a tour. She called one of the sisters who gave us a tour of the two chapels and played a video explaining the history of this religious order. Both chapels are meticulously maintained and truly beautiful.... We toured the Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration chapel and were impressed by the fine artwork and religious authenticity it brought to us. The stained glass was beautiful. Our guide had been a nun for 14 years there and was knowledgeable and gracious.
