River course most challenging of four courses played. Greens are difficult and be ready for blind shots. Cart path only can be frustrating, may wish to take caddy. Lots of fun. Meadows Course is also a good track.

This gets 5 star more for the surprise. You come for Whistling straits and leave trying to decide whether Blackwolf Run was better. The course runs along the river and plays completely different to Whistling. Its definitely tough, and never going to be an easy...More

On a quest to golf in all 50 US states. Wisconsin is state #41. Golfed the River Course @ Blackwolf Run. Spectacularly beautiful. Pristine course condition. Caddies optional. We rode without a caddie. 4+ hours to play in a foursome. If you're a "right-hitter" bring...More

Our last day of golf of our annual group golf trip was on Blackwolf Run and it was a good course to finish on. Certainly not the hardest course we played, and not the easiest either. Good place to bring one back to golf reality...More

Great golf courses. Both were challenging but far and visually very pleasing. Shannon is a great fire caddy.

Played Meadows on a Sunday. Definitely not overrun with golfers (my friend and I did not need paired up with anyone). Good pacing of tee times. Sailed through first eight holes till the foursome two groups ahead backed things up a bit. Still made it...More

I read this was the 15th best public course in the country. I had played it once before, but seemingly had my eyes more open this time. This is a gorgeous golf course, offering many challenging, yet fun shots and holes. You cannot go wrong...More

My wife and I were enjoying a spa weekend together an had dinner at Great Wolf lodge. View on the golf course was beautiful. Our meal was fantastic and I recommend their tenderloin. Price was comparable to Madison WI so reasonable.

We played this along with the two Whistling Straits courses and it was no slouch. Most of the holes have the Sheboygan River in play and we were told it's the toughest of the courses there. It is. It's also beautiful and tight- we lost...More

River course - Nearly every hole tracks along winding river - making it really enchantingly beautiful. Skinny fairways and tons of water and sand make this the MOST challenging of all the Kohler/Whistler golf courses (even harder than Straits). Make this your second choice -...More
