This is an unexpected place to visit for being so close to a Metropolitan area, (Minneapolis). But it's superb for so many reasons. The wildlife is right there and I wish people did not jump in the falls. We have to preserve places like this because they are rare or you have to travel 6 hours to find them. I... More

Nice park with plenty of Wooded sites for privacy or shade. Was good for fishing crappie and other pan fish haven't been there in about 4 years though . Own an adult family home and the last time we were there they wouldn't let us use the handicap bathroom which we always used in the past and never had any... More

This park has been our second home for 11 years. We live in Hudson, so it is like a huge playground just about in our backyard! We come solo, or just my husband and I, or with our kids, but almost always include our dog! This park is enormous!!! There are so many trails, and places off trail to explore.... More

One of the best State Parks we've camped at! The falls in the fall are amazing and our kids had a great time hiking the trails. Camp sites are clean and quiet. We will be back!

Great hiking trails. Could even be used for training for Grandma's marathon! Nice and wide paths. Well marked, except we did discover that the orange path connected near the red path, which the map did not show, but we later discovered when we came out on a different point than expecting.

We use to frequent this park and hadn't been in years. We returned this summer to find other than more RV spots, the campgrounds and park are the same, BEAUTIFUL. It's a relatively quiet camping experience with lots trees between sites, firewood on-site, cordial park rangers, and polite campers. The trails through the woods and along willow river are still... Nice park, several short but moderate hikes will keep you busy. Will be better when the beach opens!

Found the falls researching things to do around Hudson,WI. On the website it mentions a 1 hour rate -- this is wrong ,there is no 1 hour, only daily and yearly. Buy your pass at the camping entrance gate then proceed to the next turn off which will lead to the trail to the falls.( Note: BUY your pass --... More

This is a simple hike that took me (a non-hiker/slow walker) about 45 minutes one way to get to the falls. The Falls are very pretty and worth the walk.

This was our first time camping at Willow River. We loved how close and easy it was to get to this park from the Twin Cities. The park itself is nice and pretty, lots and lots of hiking. The lake was drained when we were there so kind of a bummer but the falls were up and running. We camped... More
