Even if you are not of a Religious belief you will find the architecture of the buildings and the panoramic scenery of the region absolutely gorgeous. It is always a stunning sight at any time of year, but after the trees lose their leaves you can see for miles and miles in any direction. If you have the energy, the... More

This is one of the coolest places in Wisconsin. Be sure to(if it's open) make your way up the tower for one of THE best views anywhere. Well worth the stair climb!(Went prior to 3/2016 TA limit on date)

I live about 2 hours away from here and I visit at least once a year. If weather permits you can climb to the very top of one of the towers. The views in fall are Amazing. The interior of the main church is simply gorgeous and definitely inspirational with the stain glass windows and the architecture. The shrine of... More

A great fall day to see the colors! Was a beautiful day but very crowded, traffic getting in and out was very hectic, but the scenery made it with it! It does have step inclines to walk up and a lot of stairs if you want to the top, so keep that in mind.

I visited Holy Hill in September 2016. It has acres of woods with trails and small shrines. The trails are dog friendly. It was probably one of the most serene and comforting places I have ever been. Although it is Catholic in origin, you do not need to be Catholic to visit and enjoy it. And the religion is not... More

You will not be disappointed in this slightly out of the way but beautiful scenic drive to Holy Hill and Cathedral. Beautiful building, beautiful service and beautiful view.

Highly rare basilica for US, with location on hilltop, monastery and and cafeteria all familiar to Europe but not in the rest of the USA. On highest hill in SE Wisconsin (hill a remnant from the ice age, so added plus for geologist/scientists) with view for miles around. Interior of the basilica equally inspiring: well balanced elegance with simplicity. Climbing... More

Whether you are a nature lover, devout, or an architecture or history buff, you will like this place. We visited after the peak of the fall leaves but the views from the tower and the grounds were still beautiful. The church has a long and interesting history and the craftsmanship inside is breathtaking. There are a lot of steps, walking,... More

Have heard about Holy Hill for years and our visit still exceeded our expectations. Beautiful part of Wisconsin. Very cool architecture. Religious....if you believe. Very comfortable if you are "just visiting". Amazing views from easily accessed areas. Wear comfortable walking shoes as it is on a hill and hope to climb the stairs to the Tower. Tower is closed from... More
