I have played most all the courses in Sawyer County over the years. Big Fish is as good a layout and test of golf as there is. Couple of thoughts....the bunkers could use some attention. The tees could as well. They should limit twosomes during...More

Golfed here yesterday with my son and nephews and son-in-law. The front nine is links style and the back takes you into the forest for a totally different experience. The track itself is great I think! It is not an easy course although plenty of...More

What an experience to witness first hand the genius of a Pete Dye creation! The Big Fish Golf Club had it all, rolling linx style fairways, elevated greens, knee high fescue grass and an interesting chain of greens that left me challenged like no other...More

Great course for a great price. Lots of deals out there if you look for them. Front nine is good for warming up, open links style. Back nine is tight and wooded. Would play here again!

Drove about an hour to golf. Not worth it. Greens ok but fairways are not kept up. Very dry with burnt grass. Saw drink cart once in 18 holes on a 90 degree day and the drinks were warm.

The price was right for a Tues/Wed special $38pp including a cart. The front 9 is a challenging Link Course with no shade. The back 9 is beautiful but on a hot day you'll feel it. Overall, for the price I'd play here again. I'd...More

Decided to try Big Fish because it looked interesting every time we drove by. It was a nice fall day and they were running a special for 18 holes with a cart. The front nine was links style and for the most part was OK....More

18 holes with a cart for $47 is great for a course of this caliber. Pete Dye course that is well kept and interesting lay out. Not crowded, friendly staff. Nice change with links on front and woods course on back.

While vacationing in Hayward, we decided to try the Big Fish Golf Club. There were two experienced golfers and myself (beginner). We got a 1:10 tee time, but we called for a same-day tee time, and that was all they had left. I highly suggest...More
