Skied from Hayward to OO. The trail was in great shape except for a couple of minor dirt spots and one icy downhill. Lots of uphills!

Amazing experience and lovely views. We made tea in the forest in a safe area and it was awesome. Great spot to enjoy while in Hayward

The Birkie Trail is an excellent trail for hiking, especially in the fall of the year when there are no mosquitos and when the leaves are in full color.

Watching the skiers complete the Birkie is amazing. The whole weekend of festivities is so much fun, Meeting people from around the world coming to our small town in Northwestern Wisconsin. Dress warm, some silly people dress for style!!

Since its inception in 1976, the American Birkebeiner trail continues to serve skiers, hikers and bikers. What a brilliant idea by Birkie founder Tony Wise.
