Lovely intriguing castle that was a struggle to find but an adventure nonetheless in beautiful woodland. Adults and kids loved it and so much more enticing than the bigger castles of the north. Brilliant to walk dogs too.

A nice pleasant walk from the free car park through woodland on a very decent path with easy to follow signs. I have to admit I felt a bit underwhelmed after climbing the steep steps to reach the castle and it is indeed very hidden,...More

Drive past it and you'd never know it was there, a real hidden treasure, so take a nap with you (there's a great one on the castle web site). Park at the beach it's then about 1200 metres to the castle through very pleasant countryside...More
