Part of the museum covers the history of Wisconsin beginning in prehistoric times, as well as a look into 19th century Green Bay. But other exhibits are constantly changing. You could visit the museum several times a year and see new things. Great location, right on the Fox River. Free parking, off-street.

The permanent exhibit, On the Edge of the Inland Sea, takes you from prehistoric times to the 20th century using sights and sounds which make you feel as if you are a part of the era. Love the short films on the relationship between the Packers and the community. There are 3 temporary exhibits which are done with the same... More

We had our grandchildren with. They liked the Ice Age stuff. The gift shop was a big hit. They have expensive things but they are well made and educational. We put together both of the giant puzzles of dinosaurs. That was great! They have a new display being built but was not open yet. We peaked in. It looked very... More

Is a small museum, so easily done in an hour. Lots of detailed displays. Good for history buffs. Very pretty landscaped locale. Nice 9/11 memorial.

We went the day before the 4th of July. The special attractions where Life and Death at Fort Howard and an Ice Age Exhibit with Saber Tooth Cats and Mastodons. It was very well done and informative. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The regular attractions are well laid out and informative including a lot of old video footage... More

I love going to the museum. There is such a variety of things to see and do. Extremely kid friendly - a super hands-on area for children. The gift shop has many unique gifts.

My kids & I LOVED this place. We had a lot to see while there. It was interesting to learn about the history of the military, see outfits used from long ago, get some Packers History, various movies throughout the museum, see Ice Age display which is here for a short while this summer. We eventually went to the gift... More

Great local resource provides technology interaction as well as games for others. Lots of updated exhibits and good archeaological displays. Give you perspective on what things were like especially in the period following the War of 1812 right up to the 1850s.

The people and the attractions at this museum were excellent. It's not overly big but everything we saw was very well done. It is very obvious that a lot of love and time and planning went into every aspect of every display. We had a wonderful time. And as a bonus there was a beautiful display of art done by... More
