I had no idea where I was heading for. The trail said it was difficult. At first our trek was quite enjoyable. There were some obstacles to overcome, but nothing to sweat about. We reached Lake Michigan without any problems. Now we had to walk nearby the lake and once we saw caves the path became a bit difficult, as... More

We enjoyed the rock cliffs, water views, and forest trail. Even though this trail is rated difficult, we didn't think it was. It does have rocky, uneven sections and some with many tree roots, and compared to other area trails I suppose it's difficult, but there's not elevation gain or anything too strenuous.

While the "Difficult " rating is dismissed by some, it still is about the most strenuous hike you'll find in Door County with some scrambling involved. Lovely views of woods and water, and intriguing cliffs. One strong caveat for neophyte hikers: wear solid shoes, especially hiking boots. The rocks and roots can be tricky and hard to spot in the... Breath taking, and even though it says "difficult" it wasn't too bad. Just allow plenty of time, take your time and soak it all in.

We love this trail - we make sure we hike it every time we're in Door County. It is difficult. Most of the trail is steep in places, and the whole trail is covered in tree roots and rocks, but that makes it even more fun for the kids. The views on both sides are incredible, and there's lots to... More

A nice hike thru the woods, along the top of waterfront cliffs - - - beautiful views in every direction.

This hike was not an easy one, however it is beautiful and well worth it. After hiking over roots and rocks for the majority of this two mile hike our feet were sore. We were wearing tennis shoes but would recommend hiking boots that also offer additional ankle support. I would not recomment this hike for someone with bad knees... More

The Eagle Trial is probably the best and most popular hiking trail in the Park. You will start high up on the bluff and slowing work your way down to the lake shore. The trail is not smooth; there are many rocks and tree roots in the way. The exit is up hill, very up hill. It is the best... More

Once you find the trailhead, it was easy to follow. Limestone caves, beautiful water views and forest paths. Had to watch where you put your feet, otherwise not really difficult. One of the best hikes in Door Co.

When you're in the Peninsula State Park, you won't want to miss hiking this trail. Huge cliffs, looks of the bay. Really nice. You can combine it with Minnehaha trail where you may sit on the beach and relax or meditate even.
