first time to visit after checking reviews here in tripadvisor, we were going to be driving by and it was a beautiful day, there are 2 areas to swim, plenty of areas of camp and walk.

We showed up to the park around 11pm we got a little lost on the way there so we called the place and they helped us with directions, the guy at the desk was really chill and the camp spot was perfect for what we...More

Last of 3 Wisconsin campsites we stayed at and the Beatles Good sized pitches, clean bathrooms and easy access. There's lots to do, the lake was busy as it was hot and they serve great ice-cream!

Went kayaking for the first time and was told to try this place as the lake doesn't allow for boats with motors. Great day, calm waters, grilled out after wards, and enjoyed the evening.

This is one of my favorite state parks in WI. It has 2 lakes, TONS of areas to hike and explore. They are fairly pet friendly, so that is a HUGE plus for us. Went here as a kid to swim, and continue to go...More

My family camped at group site G. It was quite a distance with walking from the parking lot to the campsite but it was well worth it because we had plenty of privacy. The pit toilets by site G are older. The campsite G has...More

Hiking trails were nice but needed more/better markings. Person at entry gate was very short to the point of being rude. I did find a very nice young lady at the concession stand who provided some great information and advice on the trails. Beautiful park.

This is a 5,000+ acre park with two campgrounds, boat rentals, fishing, picnicking and hiking. There are two lakes and a waterfall that is picture worthy. Because it is in the "Driftless Area", it boasts sandstone bluffs, deep valleys and steep hills. There is something...More

Great break from the blue green algae on Madison lakes. Great beach with grassy area too to picnic or toss a football or frisbee. Can rent paddle boats or canoes too. We didn't fish but did see some fishermen catch some nice sized ones!

I haven't rented one in years, but I recall it being rather expensive. Something like a 2 hour minimum and approximately $20/hour.
