Lapham Peak Park is a great place to walk and hike. The trails have beautiful scenery and various terrains to select from. The tower provides stunning views! The restrooms are clean. I've not attended many of their big events, as the park gets incredibly crowded and that's not my preference. But if you're looking for a nice, beautiful, quiet place... More

My friend and I hiked Lapham Peak. I was impressed with the quantity of trails and nice vistas especially from the observatory tower. We had a nice warm sunny day in February - very rare and much appreciated!

I was just at the park in early January. It was crazy icy but the woods were still so beautiful. I can't wait to go back once it warms up a little more.

This state forest is one of the best places to visit in southeastern Wisconsin if you're looking for hills, trails, and prairie. It has a great diversity of landscapes, from large hills (hence the name) to wetlands/swamp, to small ponds, to rolling prairies. If you enjoy running, walking, hiking, mountain biking, or skiing, Lapham Peak offers four season recreation. The... More

Lapham Peak, the highest point in Waukesha County, not only offers great views from the walk up observation platform, but has hiking trails, which provide a nice Summer activity, or to enjoy Fall colors, as well as Winter snow shoeing or Cross-country skiing. There is a pond that freezes in the Winter, with skate rental nearby. In the Summer, the... More

Great trails for running, walking and hiking. We love going there. YOu can even catch some music at times during the summer. Bring a picnic basket and enjoy.

This is a great hike to get your blood pumping. It's a beautiful walk to the woods, then you go up all these flights of stairs to the lookout tower. Try to go on a clear day so you can really see everything around.

This is my favorite state park in the area. (It has nothing, of course, on the state parks of many western states, but it's about as nice as you'll find around here.) It's a beautiful and quiet place to photograph, picnic, pray, run, ski, talk, think, or wander. There are more miles of trail--a good blend of hiking, skiing, paved,... More
