Beauty at the bridge

The park and stream at The Covered bridge are an added bonus that add extra beauty to the bridge itself!

Awesome old bridge with beautiful scenery and a lovely park what great place to stop for a picnic! The Very old bridge has some truly old graffiti which makes for some interesting reading. Just a wonderful place for a quick stop for pictures and a stroll

Eventhough the Cedarburg Covered Bridge may not have the history of covered bridges in the northeastern United States ( Vermont or New Hampshire), it has a lot of aesthetic appeal for Cedarburg😀. It was built in 1876 because farmers in the area needed to replace bridges that were washed out from time to time. Pine logs were cut, fitted and... More

It was worth the drive. Probably takes about 7 minutes from the downtown area. It was worth stopping out. It was amazing to see how it was built. I thought we were going to have to walk to it. It was nice to see it was right next to the road.

This is one of the last covered bridges in Wisconsin and it's a must see. Went here mid-February and it was breath taking. If you're in the area you have to stop even if you're just driving by!

At one time, more than 40 covered bridges dotted Wisconsin's countryside, like the more celebrated covered bridges of Madison County in Iowa. Today, the sole survivor is the Cedarburg bridge, originally known as the Red Bridge, located three miles north of Cedarburg and 20 miles north of Milwaukee near the junction of Highways 60 and 143 on the Covered Bridge... Went here in a freezing cold day. We will definitely come back when the weather is tolerable. Nice little park next to the bridge. Great photo opportunity.

I've been here many times while I was growing up so it was nice to stop by again. Thankfully the bridge continues to be part of local history and is being well maintained. Pleasant stop.
