Very nicely displayed. Well put together display, the attention to details really make them special. There is a wealth of information and the amount of historical items is phenomenal! The village is actual buildings from the local area that were moved to the location. There is interactive displays, great signage explaining what you are looking at and nice benches to... More

WE attended Heritage Days and Pioneer Days and Old-time Fair Days. Each was different and fun and educational. Be sure to check out the library! Also, stop by the "drink" store and meet a really great lady, dressed in costume!!!!

Each September, there is a PIONEER VILLAGE BLUEGRASS FESTIVAL (also called KATHY FEST after the wonderful lady that organizes the festival). Many of the "BEST OF THE AREA" Bluegrass musicians are showcased. The festival is included in the minimal price of admission to the museum. Held in the Gazebo, it's a great time, come rain or shine. Gets your toes... More

This is a great village for the family to visit and take pictures of. The kids like this also and there is a kids day in June with activities. They also allow weddings in the on site church.

We had recently moved to the area and were curious to learn about the history, and this place has it in spades! They have many different buildings and displays with descriptions in many places, many buildings that are historical to the area. In July they have a living demonstration time and in the fall a bluegrass festival. But it is... More

Visited last summer - day after the big car show. Even though not all the buildings had guides in them, it was impressive. Truly enjoyed the guides that were there. I have worked at the Heritage Center in New Richmond, WI and we have a similar set up on a much smaller scale. This was a joy to see. Driven... More

My husband and I have been going to this museum every year for the last five years. It is well worth the admission price you pay at the gate. We live in Coon Rapids, MN and enjoy visiting the museum every time we come. There is always some thing new to see and the volunteers are very nice. The museum... More

It's a very nostalgic place to go and I'm sure educational for the younger set. It's a pleasant setting. Well done.
