We came here because many locals have been telling us how beautiful this place truly is. They were telling the truth. And it is free to the public..... Pictures don't do this place justice! There are trails to hike on that vary in difficulty levels....More

This used to be a secret spot, but it has been discovered. There is a parking lot, but usually overflowing during peak hours. Don't park in street, you will likely get a ticket. It is a must see. You will be surprised, not expected.

Pewits nest is a little out of the way but well worth the effort to find it. Parking can be difficult and obey the posted signs. The gorge is beautiful and the scenery spectacular. The fall colors make it even more spectacular. If you are...More

If you have gone to Parfrey’s Glenn, then it may not be worth going to Pewit’s Nest as it’s quite similar but there’s almost nowhere to go since so much is blocked off. You can go uphill on the path to the top of the...More

We planned to spend some time exploring this area as we love the outdoors. It a very pretty place, but they have closed so much of the area, and so many of the trails, that you're very limited as to what you are able to...More

Bring clothes/shoes that you aren't afraid to get wet, because a lot of the appeal of this place is in the streams and waterfalls...and the way to explore it fully is to get in the water. It's really beautiful, and is a really calming place...More

So fun! The gorge looks great from the top and from the bottom! The hiking trails are great! If you're daring you can jump off the cliffs although it's not advised. The park is open from 6am-8pm and is free!

Without water shoes, your walk will be very short. There is a short trail through some beautiful trees and rock formations and then you get to water. To go forward, you hop in and tread through the water. A pretty view even if you just...More

This gorge has an added special dimension, at least for me. It seems to be a place where there is a thin interface between the present and the past, which facilitates one's spirit connecting with the benevolent spirits of the ancient aboriginal Americans who one...More

If you stay on the flat portion of the trail. You could visit the location whenever. But as others said if there is any moisture, snow, ice I wouldn't climb the hill.

Hi Don, I wouldn't try it personally, I don't think it's deep enough. It's important to remember the Pewit's nest is like a short, narrow canyon. In several areas near the edge of the walls it's angled downward slightly... More

No, a sticker is not needed and there is no fee. Parking is difficult, little space and regulated on the road, which is County W.
