Beautiful state park with trails for all availability levels (including one along the shoreline that's wheelchair accessible!) It's been a destination spot for day-hikers, campers, swimmers, kayakers/canoers, divers, and rock climbers since I moved to this part of Wisconsin almost two decades ago, and is still one of my favorite summer destinations. I even got married on the South Shore... More

Beautiful park and lots to do from renting a canoe to hiking around the lake. The beach is very nice. Only downfall is the lack of parking if only going for the day, so arrive early.

We were there during a weekday in April so it was not busy. Reviews on various sites indicated this park gets very busy on nice weekends and parking is difficult. The lake is pretty. A railroad track (not sure if it is active) runs right between the parking lot and the lake. Many of the trails are shown as difficult.... More

Hiking, swimming canoeing, rock climbing even ball room dancing. Devils Lake has it all. Best views and rocks in all of mid west? Have heard if was national park would be # 3 in amount of attendence. Which makes the park very crowded on the weekends but large enough park to find serenity and over the top beauty among this incredible park.... More

Devil's Lake State Park is the outdoor lovers dream! Great for camping, hiking, picnics. You will want to go back again and again. Autumn is extraordinary! A Wisconsin State Park annual sticker gains you entry into the park. I believe the only other cost would be for overnight camping. Hiking the bluffs is the best!

Great park with lots of trails. After climbing to top of bluff, the view is outstanding. Take your time on the trails and discover the wildlife and plants and enjoy all the lookouts on the bluff.

I have been here several times, each time hiking the East Bluff trail. The views are really beautiful and you can see a long ways. I've gone on both weekdays and weekends to the park. Definitely go on a weekday if you can as the trails will be less crowded. I've looked into camping here as well, sites book a... More
