Unsure why this hasn't been torn down yet, scary to drive across. Antique quality is unique but rattles and creaks to drive across, and limited number of cars allowed at a time is a red flag

If you can snap a couple of pictures while going across the bridge it is a good view up and down the river.

I really enjoyed driving over this bridge, the “back” way into casino. A real throwback into the day. Too bad the exhibit center is in disrepair.

We chose to drive over the Suspension Bridge on our way out of town. While the bridge itself is very beautiful, the location is a little bit of a let down. The surrounding area on each side of the bridge is rather run down, and...More

It is worth the ride just to drive on this unusual bridge in the heart of wheeling. It is right off the main street in downtown. It is also nice to look at from a distance.

If you love history and old bridges, this is for you. It was built in the 1800's and still remains open to traffic. You can also walk across it, but beware, it does sway depending on the wind and cars traveling across it!

It was worth the time to stop and view the bridge. After seeing it first hand you can see its history although driving across it can be an eye opener.

There is an excellent display regarding this bridge from the 1800's in the Oglebay Mansion that is necessary to really appreciate its importance in its day.

I'm on a quest my kids to travel to all 50 states. We traveled through WV and needed a stop. I chose this bridge as our photo op Landmark. It's easy to get to off i70 and it was a quick stop.
