We had a great time sifting through the dirt in search of gems! The kids loved it so much! There was a little shop that was able to place your finds in products, but they were closed when we went, I totally would have brought product!

This was our first experience gem mining and we'd definitely do it again. Farmer Joe was very friendly and knowledgeable. He also made a pendant for my daughter and I out of one of the gems we found, see pictures. The mine is 6 miles from the Sleep Inn & Suites in Beaver, WV. Follow the directions on Farmer Joe's... We didn't end up with that many gems though, but luck of the draw I suppose. The experience was solid, I did find a very... More

The people running the mine are wonderful and so nice. They didn't rush and went out of there way for our trip. Thank you and we will be back.

Starving animals made this a very unfortunate stop! Never again. Poor road, a pile of sand, not a mine. Pictures on the website and Facebook page very misleading
