The museum is the family home of the late Frank R. and Anna V. Hunter and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The history of Pocahontas County is well documented through old photographs and displays of implements and equipment in the Pocahontas County Historical Society’s Museum. There are displays on the various aspects of the county's history, from the Native Americans, Civil War artifacts to the present.The museum is open daily during the summer months.

Located in an older home with two floors housing tons of interesting objects and facts on Pocahontas County, WV!! Well worth your money and time!! Kids and adults alike will enjoy all the displays!
