On departing WV towards Asheville, we stopped here to grab a quick meal as their cuisine featured preparation by Greenbrier kitchens and local flavor. It was 85% retail space with numerous local crafts as well as some foods / wines. Our motivation was the Greenbrier...More

Tamarak seems to be a collective of local people selling their overpriced craftware. If that's your scene, fine, but it's not mine. It's like an independent version of the Cracker Barrel stores. The food was reasonable though (and cheap), although a little school dinnerish.

Always a great place to stop for a healthy lunch or dinner while traveling. The line can sometimes get long. (It's a buffet) - BUT, I feel that it is worth it to avoid eating fast food.
