This museum is a favorite of my kids. The displays are always changing and it shows history of our area. Kids like to return often to see what's new. Also a cute soda shop right next door. Hit with the whole family! Very affordable also.

1/2 hr ride on remains of Yakima Valley electric railway once 20 some miles long. Historic cars have run since 1974. Plans to extend run once they replace the stolen copper wire.

Easy to locate. Areas of interest for all members of the family. Learning about Eastern Washington - very different from Western Washington. And don't forget to visit the soda fountain on the lower level.

Impressive local museum! The building is very grand and loaded with a whole trove of history. The electric neon signs, carriage collection, giant high heel shoe, and artifacts from a couples personal travels around the world are fascinating. Nice work Yakima!
