This is a fantastic piece of history. Pack up the family and take the long drive to the park. Be sure and pack a picnic lunch and enjoy the grounds. Beautifully maintained.

this was interesting but not really very exciting. But, for history buffs it is a great stop. The surrounding area has some 8000 wild horses so you might see some in dryer weather coming in for water. Also a lot of resident elk. worth the...More

Wonderful wildflowers in the spring, Lots of room to visit a western fort replica and learn the history of the area, both the good and the bad. Nice picnic area and very quiet most of the time. A nice place for reflection.
