Went to pick up the reserve wines from our wine club selection. Came away with decision to drop the club membership. The winery has gotten too big commercially and now the help reminds me of the flight attendants on domestic (=US) carriers (you guess what...More

Took a drive up to the Woodinville area on a sunny Sunday and stopped in at the Chateau Ste. Michelle. While we had not planned out going on a tour, to our surprise the tour was free so we gave it a try. The tour...More

Must see if in Woodinville area. Wine tastings are not free. Now they are $10 but they have about 5 tastes. Ellen gave us a wine map and suggestions on wine tastings in the area.

Yes, you can tour Washington #1 winery during day. (98% of their grapes are grown in Yakima Valley) but the real treat is the summer evening Concert Series. Golden Oldies like Joan Baez, or Joanie Mitchell mix it up with the Goo Goo Dolls. Seattle...More

By far the closest accommodations are at the Wiilows Lodge but be prepared to pay top dollar for a highly rated stay. We stayed last weekend and though expensive I will return. Eat at the Barking Frog if you have a chance.

UBER is big in this area. Otherwise, there are many wine tour limos, vans and shuttles.
