I used to come to the Methow annually for my birthday, which falls on Presidents Day weekend. Friends who came with all quit skiing or moved away, but this year I decided to come back on my own. So much has changed! Great ski trails still, but now there are trails for snowshoers, dogs, equipment for loan to disabled skiers,... More

It's a fun area to visit, with many events throughout the year. Winthrop is a cute cowboy town. The area is beautiful with a lot of history and roads off the beaten path. Ghost towns and old mines are close by, if you like to explore, it's a great area for that!

A lovely, large place to Nordic ski. I love the variety of ski trails in the multiple locations. The ski shops in Winthrop are the best. It's nice to go to a Nordic ski shop who deal in high-end Nordic ski gear and wear. The Methow Valley is a lovely Nordic ski get-away location.

Spectacular views in the snow! Highly recommend The Freestone Inn for dinner and Sun Mountain Lodge for breakfast. Both have great menus and ambiance.

The groomed cross country tracks are the longest in the US. Break out your skis and enjoy the silence.

This Valley is a gem. The Methow Valley has 3 types of people. Locals, people that live and raise families here. Tourists, people that come to enjoy this area. Third, people that have second homes in the valley. All of them have an affinity for this valley. This valley used to have Orchards and a few Ranches to keep the... More

The entire region was beautiful. Hwy 20 was closed, so, we took 2 over Steven's Pass. It was a very long drive from home, but the beauty was a distraction. We explored the towns of Twisp and Winthrop on foot. The shops are very cute. This area is great for snowshoeing, x country skiing, fat biking and backcountry downhill in... More

Summer is swimming and biking and hiking and winter is ice skating and cross country skiing. Our you can just hang and shop. If cloudy Puget Sound has you down go find some sun. The drive on highway 20 is one spectacular thing after another.

Enjoyed hiking trails at Sun Mt. Lodge. The weather is much drier than on the western side of the Cascades, so it is a nice getaway.

Nothing like hiking in the Methow Valley to feel the change of season! Beautiful trails - perfect way to welcome October.
