The museum has its own parking lot which requires a fee. You may pay at the machine or in the museum (either way, make sure you know your space number). As large as the museum looks on the outside, it is much larger inside because...More

We did a private 3 hour tour and do not regret it. The gentleman was so knowledgeable about all the cars. The only regret we have is this is not the LeMay family's car museum. It is a privately run car museum WITH some cars...More

Education and interesting exhibits of mostly American autos. Most of the cars are roped off so you can't walk around them. The LeMay Family collection 20 mins away is worth buying a dual entrance ticket.

This is our third visit in the last five years and each time we enjoy it as much as the first. My husband and son in law both love cars. Old and new. The museum gives them a place to bond. The only downside is...More

For my young 'car buff' nephew, and for me, a hobby photographer, America's Car Museum had lots to offer. Lots! The main floor of mint-condition vehicles is curated in decades giving some historical background. Several hundred other vehicles are presented in no particular order. The...More

In Tacoma for a wedding. Had a few hours to pass before leaving for the wedding. Got on Trip Advisor and saw this place. Said to plan 2-3 hours. Lots of good car stuff. I could have stayed longer. If you like cars, this is...More

Let me start by saying WOW! This is an immaculate collection of cars, trucks, motorcycles and automotive displays. Muscle, electric, pre-war, modern, family, foreign, luxury, trucks, even an army jeep. Something for everyone. My favorite; 1916 Pierce Arrow. 4 levels in the museum. Ample parking...More

Several hundred vehicles of all years, a personal collection of local successful business man. There are some theme areas, but things are fairly mixed up with no overall clear organization. Few Euro cars, and almost no Asian. Italy is particularly missing. Needs more stories about...More

A car museum is not usually on my bucket list. However, this Tacoma attraction, only five years old, rates its four stars for its unique building and its unabashed adoration of America's Car Culture. The long silver tube-like building is distinctive, to say the least....More

There is so much to look at and so many unique cars, the time depends on how much of a petrol head you are. Just for the casual enthusiast I would allow at least 2-3 hours for the die hard at least 4-5 hours. They have a... More
