The history and beautify preservation is incredible, I expend time reviewing the documents date and information is very educational.

You need to show your ID and go through metal detectors to get in. Once in you can see picture of the old Union Station and it is worth the effort.

Interesting how it had been converted into a US Courthouse. Not what I expected. But found the building very art deco history interesting. and not to mention my I enjoyed the coffee shop.

If glass is your thing don't pass this by. It only takes a few minutes and its well worth it. Go during the day when the sun comes through the big windows.

We went to see the historic Union Station in Tacoma. It is architecturally impressive. It first opened as a Union Passenger Station in 1911. In 1974, the station was listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Pop in here to see the architecture. Once a train station, now its a court house. Only open weekdays and you must go through security. But once in side you'll find Chihuly pieces on all four sides of you. Art and Architecture in one place....More

Originally a train station that opened in 1911, the station now houses courts of law. The main domed area and some parts of the building are open to the public, free of charge. I visited almost by accident, having walked by the station several times...More
