A wonderful place to visit and drive through. There are tame deer and ducks that wander over the grounds. Drive along Five Mile Drive all the way around the park back to the entrance. There are quite a few locations to stop and take pictures...More

We drove through the park, stopping at Owens Beach and the Rose Garden. The park is beautiful, and well worth seeing. The raccoons stand next to the road begging for food, so people must not read the signs saying "Do Not", but they're cute.

This is a can't miss park. It's near the end of Ruston Way, which is also a beautiful drive. The park is free and so is the parking. The aquarium and fort charge a fee but it is very educational.

Be sure to do the drive around the park, we saw lots of wild life. Also stopped on the beach on the drive, which has a great view.

Should be nice, but although they are having a warm rain free summer, some rain any month is the norm, so check out the forecast on accuweather before you go so you are prepared.

Historically, we have had red foxes living in the park, but regulars have said there have been fewer sightings in recent years. They are extremely elusive, nocturnal animals. There are no particular locations in the park... More
