Took a quick stop on our way to stevenson. Great panoramic views of the Columbia River gorge. Take a minute or two! Space is a little tight so be careful!

This trail has a lot to offer. The whole loop is about 9 miles. The switchbacks gradually take you to the first lookout, and the second lookout is a great place to stop and soak the view. The lower loop is seasonal. Beautiful hike.

The car pull off is on top of columnar basalt that goes down into the Washington side of the Columbia River, east of Vancouver on Highway 14, between Vancouver and Skamania Lodge.

We stopped off on our way home from Skamania lodge to take in the view at Cape Horn Lookout. This is one of the most spectacular views of the Columbia River Gorge. MUST SEE

My only caution is to approach this from the eastbound direction, only. If you're coming westbound, take the next exit after this, then turn around. It really is not terrifically safe to try to get to the bump-out from a westbound direction, then to turn...More
