This beautiful park was opened in 1904. Many areas to walk with botanical gardens full of roses and other plants. Cute little coffee place opens at 8 a.m.

We went to the Manito Park to see the different gardens on a Sunday afternoon. This park was beautiful! There are so many areas to see - rolling hills covered in trees, a manicured Japanese garden, English style garden, rose garden, forested area, desert area,...More

Manito Park is a jewel in the city of Spokane. They have it all for whatever park activity you may want. There are the standards of parks: pavilions for picnics and parties, playgrounds, large open grassy areas, etc... What is different about this park is...More

My wife and I got married in the Japanese Gardens in Manito Park over 30 years ago. We used to take the kids there to "sleigh ride" down the slopes in winter with plastic bags. Other than too much duck poop in the first pond,...More

It is in bloom now especially the blooming gardens. Loved the conservatory. Japanese garden wasn't the best I've seen.

Don't miss the beautiful Duncan Gardens and the Japanese gardens. It is a great place for the family.

My family's favorite is the Japanese Gardens. However, the Rose Gardens and the Duncan Gardens with their conservatory is also a favorite. There is something for everyone: playgrounds for kids, grass and trees to sit and relax, the duck pond, etc.

We stopped mainly to look at the annuals garden which was nicely kept and easily viewed both from above and by walking down into it. There were a variety of other gardens, too, including a rose garden.

All of the suggestions above are great, but please don't feed the ducks! Also there is no Chinese Garden; only a Japanese Garden. Enjoy!

If it's not raining you can walk the whole park. Have a picnic and take great pictures.
