Campground is about 3 miles off of the highway. It is set in a beautiful heavily treed area. There are 2 campgrounds in the park. Check to see how many sites there are. Large picnic area.

A great place to go for a family picnic. Not much here though. Not ADA friendly (mom uses a walker and couldn't walk any of the trails). There is a small campground if you are fully self contained. The provided map of the grounds is...More

This is not nearly as often visited as the more famous other forts around Port Townsend. There is virtually nothing left of the old fort, so don't come here for the history. BUT, it has gorgeous walking trails. We walked the Nature Trail, the Bluff...More

Fort Townsend State Park borders the ocean and is a gorgeous spit for hiking and history buffs. The site is very well maintained, close to town and fun to explore.

My husband uses a walker or a power scooter. Is this accessible for him?

Yes, he will be able to use the campsite, take the nature walk and enjoy the large picnic area. I bet the scooter can take him down to the beach (which has nice views of PT, islands, and lots of shells.
