I have taken my granddaughter to three classes in the past 3 months (September, October, and November). The first class was on creatures that walk, some with more legs than two and some with no legs; a second class on the apple cycle and making apple cider; and the most recent on salmon and their life cycle. She learned the... More

This is an all around great place to go. Suitable for families, couples, children, seniors, and everyone in between. Super helpful staff, often volunteers. A short history of the area around Padilla Bay. Lots of interactive activities and great displays, plus a nature hike in the woods or one down to the water.

I love Breazeale Interpretive Center for the courses they teach for FREE including birding, plant identification etc. There is a wonderful walk in the woods that is used as the teaching classroom and the actual center has displays dealing with our natural environment. Great place for adults and children.

In the Padilla Bay area, don't miss this center. Beautiful center with wonderful displays to explore. My favorite to check on are the octopus! Take a walk down to the bay, travel down the circular staircase and enjoy a walk along the water (if you hit the tides correctly).

productive nature trail where a slow walker can find a nice variety of birds. it has a small museum in the center with excellent aquariums and interactive exhibits. Big meeting rooms offer the community an opportunity to meet on all kinds of topics. Excellent school programs for thousands of school kids. Excellent staff run the place.

My tween-age grandkids really enjoyed this. Enough science and information for me as well, and a great way to learn about the local environs.

I was surprised by how large and informative this center is about the local waterways. Good exhibits.

We will often (4-5 times a year) drive from Seattle to Padilla Bay for the walk along the dike. The northern end of the trail is about one and a half miles south of the Interpretive Center and the trail just over two miles long. We find parking and access easiest at the south end of the trail. From Seattle,... More

The Breazeal Interpretive Center offers a hands and ears and eyes-on way to learn about Padilla Bay and the wildlife that live in and around it. The beautiful modern building that also hosts great classes and lectures, is located with a lovely view looking west over the Bay. A great place to start a day and then wander the surrounding...
