The cave is a part of Crawford State Park about 10 miles north of Metaline Falls WA. It is about 1/4 mile S of the Canadian border so you can walk from the cave entrance to the Border and take your picture at a sign which says, I walked to Canada. The cave is tour only and only on certain days.

This is a very controlled cave, and the inside cavern isn't very large. It was cool the see the different formations and the guide did a good job explaining them. I don't think it is worth the time to drive up just to see this,...More

Near the Caves you will find a free campground right on the water with 12 or so beautiful sites. There are no hookups but sites are large enough for motorhomes and smaller. There is a very clean bathroom and potable water. Parking is plentiful and...More

Experiance this unique cave! There aren't a lot of these around so it's worth the drive. Tours are first come first serve unless a special group arrangement is made. So arrive early and sign up to make sure you can experiance this. Wear closed toe...More

Check the times because it is a loooong way there and you don't want to miss it. If you have the Washington Park Pass it is free, if not it is $10.00. Also after you go in the cave if you walk a little farther...More

Visited the Gardner Caves for the first time! Well worth the trip. Our guide Juliana was most informative and helpful. From Metaline Falls (pronounced METAL LINE we were informed) is 1/2 mile to the turnoff and then about 7 miles (or so) on a nice...More

Gardner Cave is relatively small and the tour will last about 30 minutes or so. The cave is lit up inside. A park official will give you a guided tour down to the bottom (about 90 ft down on metal cat-walks). Afterward there's a short...More

did the cave tour this weekend, and it was very enjoyable. The Boundry Dam is near and offers tours (The Postman with Kevin Costner filmed here) and the Lions Club 90 min train ride is fun too. Highly recommend
