We were looking forward to our rustic night in the park but I have to say this place was disappointing. Coming from the UK we are used to old buildings but the room was very basic, cramped and noisy (not the peace and tranquility we...More

This is the trail and spring system across from the Longmire lodge. The trail is an easy walk surrounded by great nature. It is a great stop on the way up to Paradise.

This is primarily a nature walk that even children can handle. The hot springs are almost all grown over. Years ago, it was a place people came for therapeutic reasons. Dogs are not allowed on trails so they will have to be left in your...More

We almost skipped this. Glad we didn't. Take the Trail of the Shadows to find the spot where the hot springs once were. Nearby you will see a cabin built by Longmire's son Elcaine Longmire in 1888. Be sure to open the cabin door if...More

The trail of shadows was a nice cool-down hike that tells the story of the Longmire family. Very interesting!
