We stopped by the fish hatchery during our visit to town. It's all self guided so grab a map by the visitor center and follow along. We thought we would get to see more things, but it was a nice walk and something to do.

Lovely place. The gentleman working was passionate about the place. Not very many fish this time of year. Took a lovely walk around though..

We took the self guided tour and went on thre nature walk. A big negative is that you can't actually see any salmon. It was a good way for my daughter and I to kill a couple of hours when it was super hot outside...More

Started off well with a little talk on the salmon, told us about the various tanks, that's where the 'well' ended. Went outside expecting to see salmon but nothing...... We have been to many hatcheries but this ranks actually last....

This is not far from downtown Leavenworth and only takes about 45 minutes to see. Make the trip. It’s well worth the visit - learned from the volunteer there all the about salmon lifecycle. Excellent for anyone interested in the ecosystem and northwest wildlife.

HUGE KUDOS to the Fish Hatchery. The best accessible bathrooms I've ever used (we travel a lot!) Picnic areas, and depending on the season you can see the fish growing (we saw 4-5" ones.) Also, they've got a fantastic set of displays and teaching areas....More

Didn’t realize how salmon are hatched and released into river and eventually to ocean. Thousands and thousands in nursery area and saw them being fed. Love to come back to see their release in a few months.
