We've seen most of the big military museums (Air Force, Army, Navy) but when we were visiting relatives near by we stumbled across this one and were pleasantly surprised! The Undersea museum is not big but it's not small... there's many fascinating exhibits and interactive learning displays. Even my 14 year old daughter really liked it! If you're in the... More

Like most museum's we ran out of time before we saw all that the museum had to offer. The museum had a fantastic history of undersea travel. We also learned about the USS Thresher and it's short life and how the US Navy learned important lessons concerning submarines that have saved many lives. One area of the museum discusses the... Having worked at Keyport for 34 years I know this Museum very well. If you live in the area and have an interest in Submarines and undersea warfare & research this is a must see. Children are always excited about all the fantastic displays and hands on items. Local schools do field trips here. It is a great place to... More

A nice collection of historical facts on the evolution of the submarine, torpedoes and underwater warfare. Personally, my favorites were the collection of diving helmets and torpedoes on display. The museum is in a modern facility and handicap accessible. Plan on at least two hours for completing a self guided tour.

It is very well run, volunteers are so friendly and there is just do much history shared here! There are simulated bunks of a submarine, Uniforms of many armed services and types of professions for the kids to crawl on and... More

Great to learn history of Naval Submarine. Only thing that would make this museum better would be some more interactive exhibits. No crowds meant visit at your leisure.

Leave your purses and backpacks in your car. New security reasons. Great naval museum. Curator is expert. Displays are very well done and show the undersea advances of the Navy. Outdoor exhibits are great also. We enjoyed "new recruits" swearing in ceremony while there. Moving. Thanks for your service.
