Could not find a clean area to put the picnic blanket down. Too bad because the location is good. Has a nice playgrounds and a couple of swimming beaches. But, simply said the goose faces are a turn-off.

This is a state park so a discovery pass is required. The sand area for the kids is perfect. Flat, a lot of water line. The sea weed does tend to build up along the shore though so you do kind of have to kick...More

This fairly attractive body of water is usually empty of sailboats, swimmers or happy crowds. Cold, black water and the history of Ted Bundy( murdered a local girl here) does not help. Go to the San Juan islands for lakes.

It is a beautiful waterfront location. Can do many water related sports. Lack of shady places. Sand is little rough. Overall, it is a good place to have family events and fun under the sun, on the water. Wonderful place to do BBQ or picnic...More

This park is great for kid and the lake. It is also great for birdwatchers as there are trails and places to see birds. Easy to find and to drive.

This is a great place to visit on any type of Seattle weather day. Swimming area, walking the dog, running or just a lazy day picnic. The park is very large and plenty of parking. Boat ramp for those with a boat.

Came here after dinner for a walk. Lovely trails along the lake. You can chill out at one of those small public piers. Great for sunset viewing and you can see vista of Mount Rainier here on a clear day.

Go to the Washington State Parks webpage. There are links and phone numbers you can call. I recommend you do this early as the park fills up with reservations for birthdays and family outings.
