Better of the two

This is the better of the 2 lighthouses in the park. Hands down. It's also more accessible. Glad we walked here as well as the path that lead to the overlook on the pacific.

Definitely take the time if you are visiting Cape Disappointment State Park to walk down to this scenic lighthouse and partake of the view!

One of the easier lighthouses to see on the Oregon coast. Well paved road with a slight incline. I don't believe it's open but still worth the walk down for a picture.

The lighthouse is currently closed but the minute 10 walk here is nice and the grounds are pretty. The views of the coast are worth it.

This lighthouse is a quick and easy walk from the parking lot. The exterior is in rough shape so it's closed until next year. The view of the Pacific from here is quite impressive.

You can visit this lighthouse with a very short stroll on a wide path. It's windy here so come prepared. The location is everything you would imagine for the Washington coast. A Washington Discover Pass is required to visit this site or a day use fee.

This is easy to get to. It seemed to me the path to the right was shorter tho and less steep. The views from the trail are amazing with the light and the ocean visible with the path and trees all around! Worth it for any one!

The Lighthouse is closed until 2017, there are still some amazing views along this short walk. (FYI: There are a set of stairs by the houses, but you can just go the other way.) There is a small gift shop at the location. There are also two historical houses that can be rented at reasonable prices.

On the walk to the lighthouse from the park entrance we saw numerous orange-colored salamanders along the path. The trees and ferns along the path were huge as were the cliffs around the lighthouse itself. Can't imagine being a lighthouse keeper in the old days with the wind howling and the storms blowing in. It still provides a light for... More

The lighthouse was closed for renovations when we went, but the walk to the lighthouse is easy and the scenery along the way and from the lighthouse location is just superb
