Of the two lighthouses at Cape Disappointment state park, this one is easier to access by foot. The path is wider and well maintained, easy stroll down a gentle slope. The other lighthouse, Cape Disappointment Lighthouse requires walking on a narrower hiking trail. We visited...More

This lighthouse is more easily accessable than the nearby Cape Disapointment lighthouse. You can drive up to within about a quarter mile of the structure and then walk out to take in the views. Most of the lighthouse was under scaffolding undergoing restoration when we...More

When we came it was extremely foggy but it gives you an idea why lighthouses are still needed. Also when we came this lighthouse was under construction / remodeling . So again not the best time to see it but it still was worth it.

This is a nice place to walk. It was under going some rehab when we were there so you couldn't go inside. Enjoyed seeing birds on the way there.

Humpback whales are supposed to be in the area, but I didn't see any. The lighthouse is about 1/3 mile to the lighthouse from the parking lot. Very strong winds. Late afternoon is not a good time for pictures.

The walk out to the lighthouse is reasonably easy. The views from the lighthouse area and from along the trail are beautiful. They have a little gift shop as well that is fairly close to the parking lot.

The lighthouse itself is currently under construction/being renovated. That said, it's a pretty view down a short little trail from the parking lot. Worth stopping by to see the point.

Only giving three dots because the light house cannot be reached due to construction, but you can get pretty close. The hike itself and views are still worth it thought. The only thing is the informational signs along the way are beginning to get very...More

Very easy walk to the lighthouse, but unfortunately it is currently under restoration and covered with scaffolding. The views of the coast are well worth the hike. Light keepers houses near the start of the trail, now vacation rentals, are well preserved, but not open...More

You'll probably need to check the website. It might still be under renovation.
