We saw this museum as we drive by on the freeway. As we had some extra time, we made the detour check it out... and so glad we did. First thing to know is that the museum is on an active military base. So you will need to check in at the visitor center at front gate and get a... More

This place have old and mid age armor to see. Bring cameras for pictures. You can get to it on Fort Lewis thru the main gate exit 120 off I-5. Just need to obtain a visitors pass with a drivers license and proof of insurance. They will even give you a maps to the place.

A good display of the history of this base, many displays of weapons and vehicles from the base throughout the years. A must see if on post.

Good display of uniforms and local units. More historical pieces than prior to the remodel. The building was nice although old. Friendly staff. My husband was excited to view the vehicles outside although it would have been nice if all of the vehicles had been accessible. Free admission a plus.

I took my son here to work on one of his Boy Scout merit badges. I was amazed at how much history and artifacts they had here. Great afternoon trip!

Nice and free. Has some surprises. We really enjoyed our visit. The Army Sergeant assigned to help guest really knew a lot about the history of FT Lewis. Bring a camera and children. They have a nice gift shop.
